One day off...
For the past several years, like clockwork, I have written my blog on the last day of each month.
However, on the eve of March 31st at around 8pm, I realized that I had not yet started. Usually I stop whatever I am doing and begin working.
But this night was different; I didn't.
Simply put: I was exhausted .
My weekend had been non-stop with travels and other unexpected stressors.
And as I lay in bed, I thought, "Who will take notice if I miss a day?"
"Do I have a committed audience that actually tracks my monthly posts?"
And I became bothered.
Whether I have an audience or not is not WHY I write.
Whether anyone takes notice is NOT why I write.
I write for ME, my wellness, and desire to create.
If it appeals to others, speaks to their heart, and even sparks a note of praise or random comment- that's an added bonus.
And if I am one day off after three years of consistently making my deadline, I'd say that's still a pretty impressive record.
